The definition of a newbie (noob)

It's funny I think the term "newbies" is the most relative term in the world of the web. Some believe it refers to postcount but I'd say that post count has little to do with someone's noob status. I don't think it even is entirely based on someone's tenure.

A noob to me is someone who has immature skills socially on these boards or lacks practical skills and yet comments on topics and offers advice that they may not be qualified to offer. ;)

Okay, this noob will STFU now.

:)

The persecution of n00bs is over-rated imho also the analysis of n00bs is so 1999.

I'm just catching up. How noob of me.

I brought this up because I see someone who's brand new to the business, in the midst of starting up their first site make comments or offer purely bad advice to someone else new.

It seems as some people break 100 posts and not consider themselves a noob anymore.

Don't let it get to ya :) Everybody's a n00b at some level or another. Everyone goes through a learning phase. There's always some new to learn each and every day.
