Im serious. Macs are so smooth and so easy to operate. Ask anybody that has ever had a mac. Once you go mac you cant go back! Trust me. The change is hard at first but after a while you will start to laugh at people who use PCs and start to think of your self as part of an elite group that is smarter than the rest of the world. When I had a PC I was alot more angry all the time when I was on my computer. Its strange but macs are very feng shuish meaning you just get a relaxed, calm, simplistic feeling when using them.

Beta was better than VHS, but VHS became the standard. After that, owning a Beta was just stupid. Same thing goes for the corporate world and PC. Unless of course you're in graphic design / publishing.

I believe it was a G4. It didn't suit my needs. I also don't find myself getting angry ar frustrated with my PC. It's just a tool.

In 95 I had used macs in school with no internet so I thought only Pcs could use the internet ant not macs so even I was brainwashed.

Excellent point about the Beta vs. VHS... except you forgot one simple thing, and that is that all the professionals who know anything about video and quality of video, use Beta...

Exactly what software is a Mac lacking? I keep hearing this as a reason, and I am seriously curious what software you think Mac doesn't have. Because, if you didn't know this, which I am guessing you don't. You can run Windows XP (or any Windows OS) on a Mac, so in actuality, Mac has twice the amount of applications that a PC does.

Oh, and I don't care if you like PC better or Mac better, I myself, prefer my Mac over my PC.

PC are very cheap, so I can understand why more people buy them, the majority of people only use there computer (not talking about people in the biz, just everyday people) for email, writing letters, and surfing the web. If that is all I did, I would be fine with a fucking $300 eMachine, why spend $2000 on a Mac.

But, I do tons of shit, from editing Video, authoring DVDs, Graphic Design, Photography, Music, and for me the Mac is the best computer for the job.

There is nothing my PC can do that my Mac can't, but there are lots of things my Mac can do that my PC can't.

To be honest I think Mac can make a very strong come back with Intel knocking out the Chips. When the Intel Based MAC's come out I urge a strong buy on both MAC and Intel stock. :winkwink:

Face it. The Intel Chip set's are just better and have always been better and MAC has damged itself for not going sooner to Intel.

I remember the silly Software Apple adopted a while back ago called "ORange" or somthing like that. Err NetObjects I think is what it was called when it came to market.

I was asked to evaluate it and and I called it a peace of shit. It didnt please the exec's listening behind the glass. I was concerned about open standards for web building.

Needless to say NetObjects was a miserable failure.

Macs are fine in my opinion. I used to have one back in the day. I like how they work. They are very logical and I can appreciate that.

However for me the vastly superior amount of SOFTWARE out there for PCs is why I don't use a Mac anymore. Games especially are lacking.. and while I don't play that many I like to be able to. :)

I think my ideal Mac would be a laptop. It'd be fun to tinker with and would do all the stuff I like to do when I am away from home.

At least Gates came out with a mission in Software, and left Hardware upto IBM/INtel, while Mac tried to do both. Now MAC is stuck in Hardware/Software Limbo and looks like Mac is gonna go with Hardware since all they are releasing is "innovative" hardware trinkets in cute shinney boxes.
By this time Next year people that are current MAC users are going to be pretty pissed about Intel making the Motorala's obsolete.

ya ya ya, Intel is making Chips for Mac... but just because Intel makes the chip, doesn't mean it has to be PC based... I am sure they are capable of making a similar chip to Motorola.

The reason why Mac dropped Motorola is because they couldn't promise to keep making a fast enough chip, where as Intel said that they could do it.

I am willing to be that the new chip will be very similar to what the G5's are using now. As far as I know (and that could be a short distance) it's the OS that ultimately runs the programs, not the chip.
