Actually, the Army and Navy here are pretty serious. Our night guard is Ex Navy retired. We're right across from their headquarters on the Island.

We understand it's only a small aid compared to what it's needed, but the intention to help is all there. We won't forget the humanitarian help we got from all over the world after Mexico City's earth quake in '86. Now it's a good time to show we can help back.

Well, if everyone helps a little bit then there is a lot of help overall.

I think it's pretty amazing that is the first Mexican Military operation on US soil in over 150 years. I didn't know that.

I saw the Navy was pretty busy last week and early this week. I guess I know what they were doing, now 385 more people on the ship + choppers and land vehicles, food and water, nurses and doctors...

Our people of Mexico and very caring people, just cuz they try and cross the border illegally doesn't mean they are bad people, they are just trying to make money to support their families in Mexico, most of the immigrants do no wish to live here but are for the reason I just stated.

i knew a guy in my age, brilliant personality, son of a minister in my country that visited Mexico with his friends from school. Same day was murdered in central place from someone that wanted his camera. It was all over the news like 4 years ago. Obviously that was an "unlucky event", but remains as a bad memory to me.

Man we have fiber optic lights up and the city and county buildings and town square are all decorated, everything. Some friends have a new Cuban place opening up on the 15th in one of the hotels I contract web work to called Habana Club (of course) so that's going to be a wild night.

It will probably be grito de independencia on the night of the 15th and a cry of rum headache and puro overload the morning of the 16th, LOL.
