why cant I view a WMV in the browser? how do I?

And yes I have windows media player 9 downloaded.

download any wmv file to your desktop then ctrl+click on it select "Get Info" you will see "Open With" option there select WM Player from pull down menu then click on "Apply All" you are good to go.
