think it was his college # back at Marshall

I don't think it matters too much about the number. Both numbers are assigned to eligible recievers. Now if a Center or Tackle had #18 then there would be some serious complaints.

I don't like Moss one bit as a person but I can't deny that fact that the man has some sick ass skills! Although T.O. would eat Moss for dinner and shit a Keyshawn Johnson in the morning.

Jim Otto was a throw back guy when he played Center for the Raiders wearing number "00" (1960-1974). He never missed a game in 15 years and was All-Pro 12 of 15 years, which helped earn him induction into the Hall of Fame the first year he was eligible.

Yeah do it your way then you can have crap like 84 and 84A because there aren't enough numbers to go around the old way.

Actually, "throwback" would mean the numbers really didnt matter.
But in the rules 0-39 & 70-99 are all eligable recievers 40-69 are actually eligable ball carriers, so long as they start or recieve the ball behind the los. and they do not catch a pass.

I was a wide out wearing #28 & I play arena now & I wear #19(WR/DB)
Hell Micheal Irvin was #47 in college ;)

Penthouse Tony 09-09-2005 07:53 AM

He's on my fantasy team. If he catches 18 TDs this year I'll be happy.

i think his agent has a lot to do with it, he was on real sports and he made his point that he'll do anything to get his clients what they want but i think he took it to another level with TO he got kicked out of camp, that doesn't look good for him at all and i'm sure his teammates aren't happy with him

fuck TO and his big head

XXX-Tony 09-09-2005 08:04 AM

Naw, you read it wrong. I meant that T.O. is a better player than Moss. I can't stand him as a person.

For sure. Its even easier to put up numbers today. And much easier on teams that are above average but not superbowl winners. Jerry was on balanced teams and has 3 rings.

When I say "throwback" I'm refferring to the 80's. I'm a 80's baby. Maybe I should have made it more clear. :thumbsup

In the 80's the number chart I listed above applied to the T

i dissagree moss is definately the better player in my opinion. 20 more TD's in his first 7 years then TO. he has better hands and i think is quicker. The only advantage TO has on moss is his size. but hey the numbers speak for themselves. john madden doesn't call someone the most explosive player on any team in the NFL for nothing.

look at last nights stats in my opinion he didn't play that well. he dropped a couple balls that he should have caught and that last play in the endzone i don't know what happened there but he didn't even go for the ball. he was probably pissed because collins licks a left nut and can't throw for shit.

Terrell Owens will auction off his NFC Championship ring to help raise money for Hurricane Katrina victims, according to the All-Pro wide receiver's website.

Now seriously don't you think this is more of a bash at his teammates then anything? Shit he couldn't auction off one of his lambo's? yeah hes doing it for a great cause theres no doubt. just shows how much he gives a fuck about his team.. i know if i was a teammate that would be more of a slap in the face then anything. TO is a piece of trash thats all i know..

Vitasoy 09-09-2005 02:12 PM

I thought with moss, they would have won with the spread. :(
