I've been with my wife 12 years and i just turned 30 .. she's been there when i was flat broke and when we've had no money issues ... i have to say that when i had nothing but her i was happy ... and now if i was single and fucking everything that walked i wouldn't be happy without her ...

I have to add that my wife is very understanding of the biz and everything involved ... that helps a lot :thumbsup

money is boring. it can buy you all the shit in the world but in the end you're still alone in the big gaping void of isolation those with money often create for themselves. im happier just getting by working an hour or 2 a day than making 20k a month working my ass off.

who is we? are you saying you are 'rich'? but typically the more wealth a person has the less they'll trust people and the less someone trusts people the less people they'll want to be around. how many like me, how many like my money, etc. of course not everyone is like that but its all give and take, pros and cons, blah blah.

I had a convo with someone the other day about the difference between being "rich" and being "wealthy"

Wealth is just stuff... things... status... power, importance. Wealth can get you to the front of the line. Wealth can get you a better table in a restaurant. Wealth can get proud honest people to feed your ego by getting you what you want and when you want it. Wealth can pave your future with predictability as far as knowing you will never have to struggle. With wealth there is always criteria and requirements.

This is just my opinion, but I think being RICH would be meeting your goals financially and in every other way that is important to you. Emotional maturity and wisdom enough to know what IS right for you. Being RICH is having true friends, loyal family, and a spectacular partner that would be right there for you when youre old, bald, and possibly lose everything and turn dirt poor. Whether you cut your hair short, buy an annoying new drum set, start a potato bug collection... Someone who will allow you to grow in your own way and grow WITH you.

Why would this be a viable choice someone would have to make?

when you don't have money, all you can think about is what you can't buy.

When you finally have enough money, you become aware of what it CAN'T buy. Love, health.. all things that are really important.

Don't get me wrong, it's nice to not have to worry about the little things and money sure frees you from that, but it's not the end-all be-all. You can be rich as a motherfucker and still be miserable, and you can be poor and totally love your life.

Money doesn't guarantee happiness, but it doesn't exclude it either. I can tell you for sure there's no real happiness in being a 'baller'. That's the most shallow, unfulfilling way of living you can find.

but for me as of now.. I would go for being rich and if I would be I would search for my true love... at least at the end I can have them both...

At this point in my life, I'd rather true bi-directional love. Even if I had to start over from scratch, I could always make more money, but finding true love is harder.
