Syd's a genius.... I once tripped to the early floyd on the BBC sessions and havent been the same since. Check out the track "Vegetable man" ..... unreal when you are on 10 paper hits.

He shone for a few moments, then faded fast.

Roger Waters rose in his wake, maybe it was not so bad after all.
