no, i mean as part of a contract.

like "non disclosure agreement", there is a word for this "do not work in same industry" as well. i just can't remember it ..

tony286 09-08-2005 04:28 PM

its a noncompete and it wont hold up ,you cant prevent someone from making a living. What you can do is say something they cant contact any client the company had.

Doc911 09-08-2005 04:34 PM

Its non-compete I sign and have people sign a lot of them.

It's called bullshit! DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING! Especially in this industry. Imagine you're taking care of thousands of affiliates for a company or something and you go to another job. You'll get fired from your new job because you signed something saying you won't talk to anyone that your company does business with. Chances are that will be 50% of the entire industry! Fuck that!

I don't think those things hold up though anyway.

OH wait, now that I'm reading your comment over again... Are you saying they want to hire you as a freelancer but you're not allowed to do side stuff on your own? That would just be "exclusive" to that company. That's not unreasonable..

PrintAdult 09-08-2005 08:45 PM

Non Compete. fun fun

No, I want to hire somebody with a "non compete" agreement. Non adult industry. I just could not remember the english word as I am from europe.
