PEople it's making enough money to sustain itself.. it's just not "making money" cause it only does a couple thousand uniques a day, and it's just a surfer flame board. I post porn and they laugh, they don't give a shit about porn they have enough.

no, that one had about 100k and then lost the whole site couple months back when my harddrives crashed.. that place is dead, but it made a shitload when AVS's were big.

Surfer board traffic is really shitty traffic from what i know.

it really is, like a bunch of hens gossiping and waiting for drama all day.

with a proper "front end" that's non message board it can help build a "community" for a free site, but the traffic hardly converts let alone clicks any banners.

one thing that may work is to snag some of the lurkers in a free porn section by simply copy pasting my blog updates into threads... but it still will won't make any "real" money that way.

2 years, 12,000 members, sold some ad space to some very generous friends who bought for the hell of it, and my sig on the board is clickable to a few of my sites.
