Anyone have a triple monitor setup on their computer?

What graphich solution you got on it?

Fizzgig 09-07-2005 03:19 PM

No, but we had a double for about 5 minutes. :1orglaugh

Then a video card burned out on another computer and the fun was over.

Dalai lama 09-07-2005 03:21 PM

I only have a double :)

tranza 09-07-2005 03:22 PM

I wish......

Luc 09-07-2005 03:24 PM

bump. i also want to know the solution to this. i have dual now and want at least 1 more. do i need another graphics card, say ATI in addition to my current AGP. hows this work...

MrJackMeHoff 09-07-2005 03:25 PM

I use 3 ATI cards on mine. Its faster response times then using double or more headed cards.

I have 1 AGP on my main monitor and 2 pci ATI cards for the other 2.

The Truth Hurts 09-07-2005 03:25 PM

matrox has triple head cards.

Get a second monitor and watch your productivity double. I'm not sure it will triple with 3 monitors tho.

Project-Shadow 10-06-2005 08:54 PM

Running triple monitors here.
Using 2 GeForce 7800 Extremes - dual DVI.. if I wanted to go quad monitor I could.
To be honest there isn't really an advantage of triple monitor over dual monitor.. it's just cooler :1orglaugh

Both PCI-e
Check out the:

Asus P5ND2 SLi Deluxe nForce4 SLi (LGA775) PCI-Express Motherboard
or
Asus A8N-SLi Premium nForce4 SLi (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard

Depends on if you want an AMD or Intel processor.

webcrawler 10-06-2005 10:36 PM

I had one for a few months, but then I used the third monitor for one of my laptops. I had the triple setup on my G5, the standard video card supports dual display and I just threw in another video card to run the third. Like Project-Shadow said, I found a third monitor to be more of a pain in the ass than a dual setup, but it does look cooler and more sophisticated. :thumbsup

Shoehorn! 10-06-2005 10:48 PM

Too bad this isn't loading, I've seen it plenty of times in person and its definately a kickass setup.

chowda 10-06-2005 10:55 PM

does two and a laptop count?

BlingDaddy 10-06-2005 10:57 PM

Double Only... :1orglaugh

reed_4 10-06-2005 11:52 PM

Why should we use a triple monitor?

Well... the reason I use a triple is that I don't just do one thing...

I program, build free sites, build networks, check GFY, and other shit...

So instead of having to find that one window... I never have to put something over it...

Trax 10-07-2005 12:21 AM

im only double :(
