Blog scripts

What's the best blog script for running a bunch of sites? I'm looking for something I can have one script install and run several of them from it. I really don't want to have to install half a billion scripts to run all the sites.

This is the only one I've found so far http://www.cheapestadultscripts.com/bo/ I just want to make sure there aren't any others that do it that I should check out.

I know a lot of guys use wordpress but am I right in thinking I'd need the script installed on each and every domain with WP?

nice looking script.. It doesn't seem to run mutable sites from one script from what I can tell, but I can see some uses for it anyway. Do you use the script on any sites? If so with the user log in part is it possible to do newsletter mailings from the script?

some people use custom coded stuff.

yea I'm really not looking for anything custom. I'm just looking for something I can run a lot of sites from with one script.

I have a ton of domains that I'd like to start building a little traffic on so I was looking for some way to easily update them with fresh content. I just don't want to have to install a script for each and every domain.

With Dreamhost, each wordpress blog is automatically installed and you could manage the content from a central script like "blog & ping automator" I believe. Just avoid duplicate text content on the blog network :2 cents:

ya i dont know anything really that is what you mentioned, other than blogger using one login with many blogs, or even typepad. some system like that.

hope you find what you are looking for. or do what simon says.

well with blogger if I host on my own server I need a separate script for each blog don't I? I played around with blogger on a simple test blog and I liked how easy and quick it was to use and really it was pretty much prefect for what I was after but I thought you needed a separate script for each blog. Am I not right?

for blogger blogskins.com people design and share.

or you could get a designer. then just copy the design into the template. and just put the code you need where it updates.

instead of using a blogspot.com domain specify your own so it connects to your ftp. and updates that way.

Wordpress mu, but I thinks its for several blogs on the same domain / sub-domain, still pretty cool

Also, expression engine will do it, Im building a site using it right now, kind of a mind fucker to set up but pretty cool once you get your head around the template language, it can apparently handle several domains via 1 installation

Not free but its pretty cheap for what you get
