When Jesse Jackson gets on tv and starts speaking for all African-Americans, does it embarrass the hell out of you?

i'd be embarrassed when they keep showing those animals going crazy down in new orleans...

I can turn on COPS and become embarrassed of whitey if I want, but he is only representing himself. The perp isn't pretending to be speaking for all crackers.

But I can't think of anyone out there trying to speak for all Irish-Americans, so it isn't really an issue for me. Jesse on the other hand . . .

Thank you. No racism intended. Was just watching Jesse on CNN and wondered why someone a little more articulate and succinct and intelligent might not replace him.

I am trying to remember, how did he get to be Jesse Jackson that we know today? Oh yeah, he happened to be with MLK, Jr when he was assassinated. Nothing else. Now he is the (self-appointed) mouthpiece for black America.

you could probably start a topic entitled "do you like to wear black clothes" and get a racial debate starting right now....

I guess that means there are enough blacks here to discuss my question intelligently. Guess I just need to discourage white guys from posting in this thread. :)

I was wearing black before it was popular. I remember telling my ex-wife that I could see that black was becoming very popular, and I hated it. I had to adjust to wearing different colors to not blend in.

LOL 90% of my clothes are black...

i'm colorblind..much easier to dress that way..

I pick a coat, my clothier makes up the rest to match, and I never let them become separated again. I would probably never get them matched up right again if I did

guess my question wasn't taken seriously
