What are the benefits of being listed in Yahoo?

Just wonder what are the benefits of paying $299 to be listed by Yahoo?
As far as a PR bump goes I'm looking at a bump up from PR3 to PR4.

Just wondering if anybody has anything great to say about being listed in yahoo's directory section

going from a 3 to a 4 isn't hard. Do it with free trades and put your $300 into something else I would say. I suppose it also depends on the niche.

More so the traffic I guess
but $299 for a non-refundable and not 100% accept process seems a little RETARDED

Wrong, yahoo traffic converts better then google or msns, it is most likely because of the solid base of US traffic it recieves.

As for the 300, i never paid it, i get in for free , and usually included 4 times as fast as paying. Its really not that dificult to get included.

What type of site is it your trying to get included?

I don't think he is talking about just getting listed with Yahoo. He is actually talking about the Yahoo Directory pages and not just the search pages.

Yahoo was great back in the day but ever since they started using Google's listings the traffic went down incredibly. In my opinion it is definitely not worth it anymore. Yahoo default search doesn't even go to those pages anymore it uses Google's index. Users would have to click directory and then search and then they would have to find your site and actually click on it. All our listing have become worthless.
