A bi-sexual male flight attendant, who apparently had no problem scoring chicks or guys, it seems got bored with pussy and assholes on homo sapiens, and decided that he wanted to fuck a damn monkey.

So, he catches it from the monkey, and then proceeds to continue fucking whatever came across his path. and from this slight indiscretion an epidemic was born.

the good thing is that the progress made in the treatment solutions is remarkable, but sadly the cost of it very high for many people. Aids can hit anyone. The worse case I can think now is the babes born from a mother that has AIDS. Although the well organised campaign from all countries to inform people about it, many people still are blind and they ignore basic things.....what you can say...

the saddest thing i've heard is that in parts of africa where education is fairly low on these issues there is a belief that having sex with a virgin "cures" AIDS... poor girls..

True, it was on the news a few months ago - several african males raped a baby as they thought it would take away their aids.

Problem with aids in Africa is also the fact that people there are NOT allowed to use condoms because their religion says so.

Here is another truth. AIDS is a virus. There has never been a cure found for any virus, so thinking a cure will be found is quite gullible.

Also, there is no money to be made in curing disease or viruses. Imagine the money that would be lost if they cured the common cold (a virus, BTW). Disease management is where the money is at. That is why they have not cured anything since polio in the 1950's or early 60's.

Doctors figured out that if they cure a disease, the income potential drops significantly. It is called job security.

Okay, so here is just a theory I heard once. The virus that causes aids is millions of years old. It has been lying dormant in the rain forests of Africa. In the mid 70's several African governments decided to tear down a path through the rainforest to build the Kinsasha highway. In the process they released not just AIDS, but Marstens, and Ebola as well. So the theory is that it is a matter of nature reacting violently to an onslaught to protect the ecological balance.

I can't remember where I saw it, but I know I read something about a case being found in Afirca in the mid 50's..the doctors did not know what it was and saved a tissue sample and doctor's recently found it and confirmed it was AIDS... I'm sure there is just as much that is not known as what IS known so far..

most professionals believe aids derived from the polio vacines which were given out widely to africans in the late 50s/early 60s. the polio vacine was developed in labs from/in monkey kidneys.

its pretty screwed up when you think about it. its either a huge accident or a nice way to wipe out a whole continent. they say by 2010, more people will have aids in africa than without.
