Do you believe the hurricane disaster will affect a lot the US economy?
1mil homeless people right? This is gonna have a world impact I think.
Yes, yes I do.
actually GDP will grow.
at least some impact it will have but US economy is strong enough
How many jobs were just lost? There will be a lot of jobs created but many will go to illegals and the folks that have spent thier careers in tourism will be hosed. It will have an impact on the economy but what really matters is how Japan and China see it. If they feel the US economy is going to be hit hard then they'll stop lending money and that will hurt bad. Of course sooner or later China will stop lending but it will probably be after Dubya is gone and his cronies have made billions.

Of course it will... :(

lots of buying, investment etc

Katrina damaged has reached $100+ Billion, now that's lots of money
:smokin |
the long term issues are:
- elder people that lost everything, not just a home, but these generally will be like hopeless - unemployement - homeless people |
the USA has been bankrupt for the last 5 years, printing money is what it keeps going. They will just kick the presses a bit harder now. Problem is that the rest of the world will notice now there financial vulnerability.
yes of course it will...not that much tho because america has a lot of resources and is a strong country. i think fo a short period of time it will recover again.
yes it will. it has already caused an oil price surge. and an estimate of 3 months before they completely drain the waters there and still uncertain how long they can fully recover.
of course and hoping for the fast recovery
