Message for the Europeans on here.. Note about New Orleans
I'm not certain if this is going to help me or not. But I figure this post can't hurt any.
OK, I've been getting alot of emails from various european people. (And it has been a fair amount.) Everyone wants to know if my family is safe. How we are coping... etc etc etc. I understand that Europe is not a very big place land-wise. But North America is a big place. And Canada is a very long distance from New Orleans! Where I am origionally from it would over 45 hours of non-stop driving to reach New Orleans. And where my husband is from you would have to add a boat ride too. My hopes and prayers go out to all the victims. And I understand everyone's concern because I share it too. But nothing has been destroyed in Canada and I speculate that over 90% of the United States is still in one piece. So please give your concern and prayers to those that require it. |

Canada sure has a bunch of wasted tundra space. I bet there is a fortune of oil not yet discovered to be found in that tundra |
EU is very big, over 300 mil. people here :)

Sorry to say buddy, but this TOTALLY BACKFIRED on ya.....
1. the wording of your post showed you were obviously being cynical(even though you wanted to make it look like you were the nice guy). 2. wtf were you posting this on GFY for??? should've emailed this as a reply to your partners that skipped their geology classes.... get your facts straight before starting sh*t. |

We have (well, I had) geography in the school. Even now I can recount more than 35 USA states, and I know exactly where they are inside of USA. And, even if I didn't know where is Louisiana or NO, for sure I would know that Mexican gulf is not in Ontario lake... :2 cents: |
The difference is that in Europe there are more differences between countries then in america or canada !
Almost every country is different! |
This is a truly stupid thread......

I will do this in the language that many of you speak.
There is always going to have to be a fuck-tard that has to be negative. And in this thread there have been many. For many people living in Europe they still live in individual countries. (Remember the E.U. is just an economic union.) The people are still from the country they are from. Putting that into context..... Land-wise, the province of Quebec is at least twice the size of the entire country of France. Literally that means that Canada or the United States is probably bigger than any individual nation within the E.U. ******There is no reason to play lawyer over words. Give it a rest or get a life*** As for my tone in this message.... Read into it whatever you want to read into it. I'm still going to save my prayers and well wishes for those that need it. And if that disturbs you, then perhaps that tinfoil hat you must be wearing is too tight on your head. |
MetroPornTour: My concerns and prayers are with you...
I'm so sorry about the tragedy that happened in your area... I hope you and your family are fine... please post that they are. |

:1orglaugh why does that remind me of a monty python skit? |
I don't know with whom you've been talking; but, the people from Europe who are talking to me listen to the news on their televisions....read newspapers, listen to radio.....and they have an approximate idea of where NO is, since there are maps shown indicating its whereabouts.
From the way your post sounds...not only does Europe lack communications; but, they're a bunch of ignorant, backwoods, country folk who rely on Pony Express for news. Wrong. Europe might have old buildings; but, they do have communications. |
