So I bought an RC Plane today (pic)...
 

Nothing fancy, just something to train me - $200.
These things are so much goddamn fun! :)

I'd say I crashed it like 12 times today, but no big crashes. Then I let my brother give it a whirl and he smashed into a telephone pole and came crashing to the ground. That did some damage.

In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have handed him the controls when he asked "How do you fly this? You push up on this thing and the plane goes up?"

But this thing is cool, I can buy any replacement part I need right around the corner for cheap.

yeah i can't get into that stuff, fun for like a few days then i get bored.

I've been considering buying a small electric RC helicopter to train on. Something I've always been interested in. Enjoy your new toy!

Yeah, I saw the helicopters at the store I got this at too. They looked pretty cool but I'd rather have the plane where you can do maneuvers and whatnot, I'd think a helicopter would get a little boring.
I'm just glad I got this cheap one and didn't shell out hundred for a "real" one - seeing how much I crash.

One of these days I'm going to rig one of those small cameras up to the cockpit, I think that would be cool as hell.

I have a gas plane with a 74.5" wing span. I haven't flown it in a few years. They are a lot of fun. I had a Tmax gas truck all hooked up with aluminum but it got lost at my brothers house somehow.

hmm.. looks like a dragon fly.. but i still think red color is hot.. I'm sure you are having a lot of fun with it!

Nice. I have this custom R/C Boat that was built for me by my step dad years ago. He used a weed wacker engine, and converted it to a water cooled head, made a nice custom exhaust, then made a mold of a 6 ft boat. Its sick, I wish I had some pictures maybe tommrow I 'll take some. Its made to jump waves, id say it does about 65mph? On the water that is very fast.

A fun way to enjoy your weekend

I didn't do too bad after a while. After I got the problem fixed with the battery (charger wasn't fully charging it, so engine cut off at 75% throttle) I did pretty good. In fact, I almost landed it one time haha.
Such a cool weekend toy.
