LOL ....

Douglas Maher - All Headline News Staff Reporter

Washington, D.C. (AHN) - Louisiana Democrat Sen. Mary Landrieu threatens President Bush with physical violence this morning on ABC's Sunday morning news program, "This Week".

"If one person criticizes our sheriffs, or says one more thing, including the President of the United States, he will hear from me - one more word about it after this show airs and I - I might likely have to punch him - literally," says Landrieu.

"The President came here yesterday for a photo-op, he got his photo-op but we are never going to get this fixed if he does not send us help now."

It is a felony to threaten the President of The United States with violence.

Heads will roll from this event. CNN is running comparison tapes of all the politicians spewing out excuses and numbers before, during, and after and they are all different and lies.

Here is the spin from the " mouth pieces" in the WH :

Quote:

Bush partisans went on the offensive. Grover Norquist, the conservative activist with close ties to Karl Rove, blamed the chaos on "looting in a Democratic city run by a Democratic mayor and a Democratic governor."
:1orglaugh

Quote:

Still, nobody accused Bush of an overly rapid response. It took two days for Bush to fly over the disaster zone in Air Force One, and four days for him to touch down. In contrast, 41 (Bush Senior ) toured Florida hours after Hurricane Andrew passed through in 1992; two days later he returned, while the rain was still torrential. (Bush 43's aides claimed that an earlier visit would have distracted local officials.) President Bush is at least lucky that his re-election is behind him; what lies ahead is far harder to forecast.

And this is the " strong and rough " man at the head of USA .... Shamefull

Completely agreed - heads should roll - I just hope that everyone is held accountable from the VERY top all the way down.

I also saw the interview this morning with the mayor Nagin - he said that the feds where arguing with him as to payment for hotel rooms - he suggested that he should send a lot of the police and fire to reunite with thier families to a place like Vegas with an excess of hotel rooms and the feds where giving him shit as to who will pay - he said he didn't care and he'd have the city pay - just solve the goddamn problem.

Starting with that incompetant mayor who will send his emergency people away from their job and let the fed's do the hard work. Brilliant!

Lol..that will get the much needed help alot faster

Nysus 09-04-2005 12:25 PM

The Mayor is good and knows the people that elected him.

It did piss me off that the Hyatt Hotel guests were all able to butt infront of the line like VIPs to get onto buses out of there; of course Hyatt Hotel can pull strings and whatnot.. but that wasn't cool at all.

Here's some angry words from mayor Ben Morris... :)

I wonder what Bush is going to say next: We don't do bodycounts? Stay the course? The rich are safe, mission Accomplished? Sadam did this too? Or Fidel?

KCat 09-04-2005 01:08 PM

I listened to the interview & personally think it's refreshing to hear an elected official who speaks like a real person, not a puppet politician. All the fucking idiots on CNN thanking each other for the support that's been given when OBVIOUSLY it hasn't been anywhere near enough? It doesn't matter how they try & spin it. People can see that the situation is fucked down there.

EviLSuperstaR 09-05-2005 03:55 AM

No wonder Bush is the recipe to failure: 9/11, Afghanistan, Iraq, New Orleans, Corporate Scandals, Bin Laden, etc

I wasn't aware that Afghanistan was now a "failure".

As for the rest,

9/11, Corporate Scandals, and Bin Laden were a Clinton/Bush team effort.

And New Orleans...
I wasn't aware New Orleans suddenly sank below sea level the day Bush
took office. Of course some people are actually expecting us to believe
that if Kerry was president the hurricane wouldn't have been as strong.

New Orleans was the result of a nice chain of events:

1) A city falls further and further below sea level. And instead of condeming
the 9th Ward and using millions/billions to compensate and relocate -- they just tried to maintain a flawed city.
2) Hurricane comes at it.
3) Mayor tells people to go to shelters but doesn't bother to ensure that
the shelters have supplies. You will NEVER see him admit that his
city didn't do enough to prepare itself.
4) Governor (who HAS the authority) appears to have not called in the
National Guard to New Orleans.
5) Some people on the ground start to get violent IMMEDIATELY, not after
days of feeling abandoned and hungry... immediately.
6) Feds, seeing events 2 through 5 choose to continue to let the primary
burden be on state and local, which is S.O.P. for hurricanes.
7) State and locals were unable (for whatever reason) to handle it.
8) FEMA and Feds now look like idiots for waiting for state and local to
be overwhelmed before acting.

Oh... I forgot Iraq. Yes, that's 100% Bush's fuck-up.
