These are the times when it is best to just drink lots of alcohol. I recommend Jack Daniels.

RRRED 09-03-2005 09:26 PM

Hang in there!! We will keep our fingers crossed for you. THERE IS A NUMBER.. that I saw on CNN just for this sort of thing... Anyone have it??

That has got to be the worst part of this whole disaster.. not knowing. We take our communication technology for granted bigtime.

Gothbox 09-03-2005 09:32 PM

Hey Chris.. I know this doesn't help find them but use this link from Google Maps to at least locate their home and see what the damage is in the exact area. It will show you before pics with the satellite pics and then click on the Katrina link to see what it looks like now

It might be a little better to call in the middle of the day tomorrow when there's more listeners.

Lensman 09-03-2005 10:24 PM

Man, that is scary. You should head down there.

detoxed 09-03-2005 10:28 PM

List their names on the lists that are available... post their names here. That would do more than not listing, post them all over the net

AmateurFlix 09-04-2005 07:01 AM

I hope this works out for you

I'm sure there are many people in the area that are OK and simply haven't been able to communicate with anyone yet. Hopefully your relatives are amongst them.

I have family from there as well, I was born near that area.

That area was relatively dry. There was no major flooding, Jefferson Parish suffered loss of power and water, but unless they lived in an area that got a lot of water, I believe Terry Town is fine.

The only problem they had was the crowds of people fleeing new orleans actually set fire to the Oakwood Mall.

If he lived near there, shouldve been safe aside ffrom some crazed looters.

good luck.the westbank did very well compared to other areas, that is my home stomping ground.
