Bush keeps catching breaks
 

He's a do nothing president --> 9-11 hits and he's a hero.
He's getting heat for Iraq --> Katrina hits - people/media don't talk about Iraq.
He's getting heat for Katrina response --> Rehnquist Dies - now can change the entire balance of the court even more.

Seriously - I know that the New Orleans media response will not die out for a while - but the attention after that is certain to immediately shift to the 2 new spots that he needs to fill.

I think its sad and unfortunate that he never gets held accountable for his decisions which affect millions of people and always seems to have another tragedy or media focus that lets him off the hook.
