Geez, do you other countries have lame holidays for people to get out of work. Who the fuck do you know that works for a government agency or a bank, sits home and actually observes this holiday ???

Shit, I think that I'm gonna observer George Washington's birthday by going out and getting wasted. What better occasion to do so on a Monday night, he he he.

Are banks and post offices open today???

Sometimes it bothers me to see some so bitter about their country and holidays, come one man ya got the fucking day off.

Nope, all banks, government offices, & post offices are ALL closed. They're the only ones that get it off, nobody else. How lame is that ???

I don't got the day off, I'm busting my ass here. I guess that I could've taken it off since I'm a full timer :)

We used to celebrate Lincoln's Birthday and Washington's Birthday, then they combined them into one holiday

I remember as a kid...we used to have so much fun on Lincoln's Birthday. We'd all dress in our best clothing and dad would take us to a play and shoot mom in the head, then break his leg trying to entertain us by doing his famous "balcony leap of fun"....ah memories........
