Ok, so I was running an auction for a collectible item.

I recieved an email that if it were $25 cheaper he'd buy it. I email him back and say that I have no guarantee that he'd buy it if I ended the auction, so I told him if there's no bids at the end of the auction, he's got a deal.

The auction ends with a winner, and the winner never pays. So, I email the guy who made this offer and ask if he's still interested.

He emails me back and says "yes" - it's like 2am, so I email him back and tell him I will be relisting the auction in the morning.

Not more than 12 hours later, I list the auction, email him to let him know and wait 2 days. I emailed him and said it was there, and just today, he emails me back with this:

"i have already bought some stuff and no longer have the money. you shouldve done it earlier like i asked. besdies if its such a good deal you wont have a problem selling it."

ok....so why did you relist? didnt you say if the initial auction didnt pan out you'd strike a deal with him direct?

Because when I asked him to pay me via Paypal, he said:

"i would like to but i would no longer be proteced through ebay if i buy it now. can u relist it at that price and email it to me so i can buy it. thanks"

12 hours later and it was relisted. It seems over the middle of the night he spent $225 and could no longer afford it.

My guess is his mommy started charging him rent or some shit.

Why don't you do a second chance offer?

wtf... only one guy bid on the initial auction and didn't pay - a second guy contacted me to say he wanted to buy it if I relisted it cheaper.

relist, and move on.

Maybe he did went out that night and spent it on whores.
