I've never EVER heard a politician speak the way he did in his WWL interview. It's about fucking time, I only wish more would speak like that on so many more subjects!!!

I only started this thread to express that I highly respect him =)

He really speaks his mind, pretty rare for a politician to speak so freely and with true emotion.

He's awesome.

he is saying what most people can not or are afraid to. He has loved the city since he was born as most of us have, sure we have our problems and some of our citizens are not sterling members of society but it takes a lot of love of an area to want to be put in charge of it an take the pressures. He has lost family, he has lost friends, he has lost property, he has lost money, he has now probably lost his job and he does not care because his focus is on the city he loves. I am angry that to this day we are still not allowed to go down there and help out, we are still told that they want qualified people and we can not help out our fellow Louisianians. I do not care about looters, they were dangerous before and we were amongst them, there are people dying and all I can do is sit here and type about it, that is bullshit.
