How much HAVE you donated to Katrina relief?

200 the other day, and because I was just a clueless tool in the Giga contest thread I'm sending another hundred.

Anyone?

Brad Gosse 09-02-2005 07:00 AM

I gave $1000 to the red cross relief fund last night and I encourage others to donate too.

These kinds of disasters really remind us of how easily our lives can turn upside down.

Corleone 09-02-2005 07:00 AM

every $ is important.. so no need to brag about "how much" you donated

Brad Gosse 09-02-2005 07:01 AM

It's not about bragging. It's about reminding others to do the same. :)

Sometimes you remember to give money when others talk about their giving.

It's not about bragging, I was genuinely curious.

Its not the same thing and I bet they dont even get full insurance benefits. I bet the companies have to settle or go bankrupt.

Do you have a link for donations to the animal rescue fund? I would like to send some money there as well.

I was not aware they had a "coke and hookers" relief fund ;). I gave it to the Katrina relief fund and I hope it gets to the right people.

I am giving more to the animal relief fund now.

Brad Gosse 09-02-2005 08:18 AM

Just donated to Noahs Wish. Thanks for posting the link :)

MandyBlake 09-02-2005 08:27 AM

we donated some money yesterday when we went to pick of some stuff at petsmart.

slapass 09-02-2005 08:38 AM

Why would you donate for the animals? People yes but I have no idea what they would do. Give water and food to a homeless dog and ignore a little kid?

Nobody is saying we should ignore people but animals need help too.

Imagine your dog lost it's way and is swimming through flood water sick, tired and hungry. The army helicopters will not be picking up pets. Somebody need to help them and provide food, shelter etc.

evanmorgan 09-02-2005 08:45 AM

nought, but im considering donating to noahs wish. If my cat was sitting on my roof helpless and dying, id hope someone would save it. People should have the brains to leave when the mayor tells them to...

Fuck the stupid nogs. They were told to leave.

It's their own fuckign fault.

Brad Gosse 09-02-2005 08:49 AM

I would NEVER leave my pets behind if evacuating my home. Nor would I drop them off at a shelter.

But many people did just this and their pets are paying the price with their lives.

Not to mention the thousands of strays and people who couldn't get to their pets in time.
