I'm helping rescue animals from hurricane area
 

I can't donate to Noah's Wish, (though I wish I could), so when a friend contacted me about possibly being a "ferry" for some rescues, I said "Sure!"

So today I'm ferrying a rescued pet hedgehog and a pair of puppies from Arkansas to Chattanooga, TN. The owners are waiting for them in Atlanta, but for some reason the rescues got sent to Arkansas.

Picking up a cat in Chattanooga and ferrying her back to Nashville to hand off to the next ferry for a ride to Memphis. Good thing that gas is paid for - that's a lot of traveling for one day.

If you can, please help the effort in one way or another. I know it's been said before, (by the lovely Loryn), but donate to Noah's Wish or volunteer to ferry or foster these pets.

I had a hedgie for 6 years, she was awesome. Congrats on what you are doing to help. Do you know if they need donations of pet supplies or just monetary donations?

Aww! Thank you. It almost kills me to know how many pets are without their owners, injured or dead. At least this way I can help reunite owners and pets.

Props to you for putting those miles on your car and spending your time to do this. If i lived in the US i would be doing the samething you are.

I've put a LOT of miles on my little truck, and am glad to be able to help. I know for damn sure that if my dogs and cat were away from me, I'd sure the hell be frantic with worry about them.

Hedgehog and pups delivered, but to Nashville instead of Chattanooga, then a trip to Murfreesboro to deliver a pair of cockateils and a cat to a foster home.
