Astrodome closed to more people

They just turned away buses - after they drove for 12 hours.

Fire Marshall closed the Astrodome to more people.

Fuck....

There was a concern over a "renegade" bus when this started. Who the fuck cares if it's a "renegade" bus or not as long as the occupants are hurricane victims? We started getting selective as to what victims need help?

Assume they aleady have alternative accomodation arranged where they can divert the buses Tango?

killerkay 09-01-2005 09:16 PM

should let the hard working people in the astrodome and kick out the freeloading fucks

Who knows kk, but fire safety under normal circumstances might be fine - but these are not normal circumstances. Get whatever extra fire equipment standing by to cover the safety shit and start getting serious and realising this ain't some bs game. Then have the excess folks moved ASAP to other locations.

Sheesh! Authority gone mad! :-)

xclusive 09-01-2005 09:23 PM

poor people:(

Michael O 09-01-2005 09:27 PM

If it takes a firetruck driven into the middle of the astrodome to get more people in there then do it. Shouldn't be a problem to get the equipment in there to make people safe.

I am in complete shock. I am actually agreeing with you.

Under the circumstances, one would think the Fire Marshall would let this slide til morning and within the next couple days they could figure out where to move people. However, if something DID happen because of crowding, that would be yet another disaster to deal with.

The Astrodome may be full but I'm sure they are working on alternative locations. They could even camp out in the parking lot if supplies were brought in.

No idea where they will go - they haven't said - perhaps they should consider putting them into some schools, and too bad I havent heard of Motel 6 or some of the other hotel - motel chains stepping up and offering blocks of rooms.

I cannot imagine going through everything and then 12 hours on a hot crowded bus only to find out that the journey isn't complete. I'm sure that a few more will die on the buses at this rate.

throwdown 09-01-2005 09:52 PM

it will reach a point when the people will stop caring and riot

cops will die

reynold 09-02-2005 03:13 AM

they must look for a safe place for those other people.

ssp 09-02-2005 03:15 AM

I hope they fly in the Superbowl winning football team and give these poor guys some entertainment.
