Tens of thousands are dying right in front of our eyes
As far as I'm concerned this is Bush's biggest fuck up as a person and a president, and thats say a hell of a lot. 4 days later and people are literally dying from dehydration. This is complete fucking bullshit.
|
I found it on that on the news today that both former presidents were pulled out to raise funds,to me that shows weakness.
What has happened is awful, you would like to think that if any nation could handle such a set back and deal with aid etc it would be the US. |

gotta agree.
you can take military transport helicopters that have armoured protection and IMMEDIATELY fly in convoys of h20 and c-rations to place like NO convention center. right fuckin' NOW. these machines are all weather 24/7 vehicles used by the us military all over the world in combat zones. this is VERY poor form and shows a complete lack of understanding. humans can exist for 7-14 days with no food. they can exist only 3 or 4 days with no water, expecially since temps are in the 90's now in the gulf. backwards, backwards, backgrounds, vacationing, dawdling republican admin. |

Turn on your fucking tv. An MSNBC cameraman told about he is literally watching babies and people die from dehydration at the convention center. There are thousands of people screaming 'help us'. They have not had water for days. What the fuck is wrong with you? |

Argueing over whether it's going to be 9,999 or 10,001 at a time like this is ludacris  |

Hey Einstein, "TENS OF THOUSANDS" to maybe a thousand dead, is not even close to being the difference between "9,999 or 10,001" like you posted - (hope you even understand what I just posted) We know a thousand so far could be dead, but "TENS OF THOUSANDS" is exaggerating :2 cents: |

< 10k = thousands > 10k = tens of thousands You failed to see the point in all of this. WHY even both argueing over whether if it is thousands or tens of thousands. The better question is have you helped the situation or are you just argueing for kicks? I just donated to the Salvation Army... have you? |
Every fucking time I see the government they are defensive
No one will admit or take responsibility for any of their actions All of the people making decisions are living in complete comfort - with electric, food and of course water - I just hope that they cannot sleep and that their guilt gets the best of them. |

people need to donate money, time, or blood to help the people who need help NOW. its sad when you'd rather have people die for no other reason but to strengthen your argument opposing bush |

Shut up you clueless Bush parrot. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9160710/ TONY ZUMBADO: I've gotta tell you, I thought I'd seen it all, but just when you think you've seen it all, you go into another situation and you see something horrific. I've never seen anything in my life like this. ... I can't put it into words the amount of destruction that is in this city and how these people are coping. They are just left behind. There is nothing offered to them. No water, no ice, no C-rations, nothing, for the last four days. They were told to go to the convention center. They did, they've been behaving. It's unbelievable how organized they are, how supportive they are of each other. They have not started any mêlées, any riots ... they just want food and support. And what I saw there I've never seen in this country. We need to really look at this situation at the convention center. It's getting very very crazy in there and very dangerous. Somebody needs to come down with a lot of food and a lot of water. There's no hostility there ... they need support. These people are very desperate. I saw two gentlemen die in front of me because of dehydration. I saw a baby near death. |
STEWART: Are you telling me there is no police in the area, no National Guard in the area?
ZUMBADO: I don't want to sound negative against anybody or any official, but according to them, and what they saw, they left and they're there on their own. There's no police there's no authority. ... You would never ever imagine what you saw in the convention center in New Orleans. STEWART: Tell me about the sanitation. ZUMBADO: The sanitation was unbelievable. The stench in there... was unbelievable. Dead people around the walls of the convention center, laying in the middle of the street in their dying chairs. ... They were just covered up ... Babies, two babies dehydrated and died. I'm telling you, I couldn't take it. |

How long did it take the victims of the tsunami to get American aide?
|
i agree progress is slow but i ask this quesion: there was a major hurricane comming at these people and most did not stock up on bottled water and non perishable food items?..yes the government needs to get vital supplies to the victims. But what about the prior warnings to leave the areas why are most of these people still there?.. I live in california and the bums hitch up and down the coast to the best climate for them why did all these people not do the same? While I do feel sympathy for all these people I cant help but think that they were forewarned and chose not to leave, thus my sympathy only goes so far and blame on the government the same.

www.cnn.com 10's of thousands are without water and are therefore going to dye if they dont get it. Therefore 10s of thousands are dying. Thousands can be DYING before thousands are actually DEAD - that seems to be what you are not grasping. |

Translation: I'm stupid. I think there are people in their home that don't have running water and thats what this is all about. I'm to stupid to realize thousands of people didnt have the means to travel to another state so they went to the Superdome instead like they were told to do. I'm also to stupid to realize those 20,000 people couldnt carry 5 days worth of water. I also don't see what all the fuss is, there's water everywhere! |
