The Canadian government apparently offered the use of their military personell, water purifying units, and tons of other equipment, and Bush said that the "US could take care of it's own"? Didn't he just say in some interview on CNN he would take whatever aid was offered? Apparently he doesn't believe that every little bit counts.

Those are the bastards who have had that same god-awful commercial on CNN for the past year (at least) ... you know, the animated one with the guy giving a traffic report that sounds like AM radio? (Americans won't see it, count yourself lucky).

It is so far beyond annoying, esp. after you've seen/heard it 500 times ... Get a nice, expensive TV with stereo sound to listen to AM radio commercials!

Ships are being positioned off shore...of various types (including helicopter carriers). Airforce heavy lifts are being positioned...several airports that had been without power and had littered runways are now operational in the AO. Troops are being deployed...including 10,000 National guardsmen from other states. Water by the millions of liters...millions of MRE's...tents...blankets...are being trucked and flown in...etc. etc. etc. You have now been answered...no need to thank me.

Don't forget the people shooting AK-47s at relief / aid helicopters and police headquarters...
