Sitting on Aeron Office Chairs -- Anybody using one?

I am considering buying one of these chairs even with the $800 price tag.

Like most webmasters I am in my office/studio at least 12 hours a day. I need a chair ready for that kind work day every day.

Anybody sitting on one of these now?
And if so thumbs up or thumbs down? Are they ergonomically sound?
Is your back, shoulders, and arms glad you bought one?
Are these chairs worth $800?

I would appreciate any input on this. thanks

I have a nice black one.. It's pretty good, some people swear by them, but whatever, it's decent.

thanks. I have a chair right now i bought from office depot a year ago. the arm rests are broken into pieces. it squeaks like hell when I lean back in it and the seat cushion is starting to tear.

Not many people sit in their chairs and punish them as much as webmasters do. :1orglaugh

so I want to make sure I get a tank this time. you have not had any complaints with yours?

LOL. do you have one? I don't know about the geek part, I just want a rugged chair that will help my back, neck, and rest of my body cruise through the work day.

Im sitting in one right now. Like Pipecrew said, its ok. I have a Leap Chair at my house and I think I might prefer it to the Aeron.

I used one for about 6 months. It was well made and easy on the back, but gave me a sore butt after a few hours because, for me, the seat was too hard. I have had much more comfortable chairs that were a lot less expensive (fortunately this was in a client's office so I hadn't bought it).

If you ever hurt your back, dont go sit in this chair, it will only make it worse :)

I'll probably buy one too, I need the C model, as I'm heavy duty. I've already broken 2 (quality) leather officechairs within the past 3 years. ..and they start to smell like buttcheese as I sit on them nude.

Aeron is da shiznit! i love it.

They are great if you take the time to set them up to fit your body. :thumbsup

They are fully worth it. I have one at home, one at my desk at work and a meeting room full of em --

the meeting room ones are black tho :( the home&desk are chrome.

fucking love em. bought them for all our employees too.

i have an aeron at home, unfortunately a kinda crappy chair here at work.. maybe i should haul mine in from home since i spend more time on my butt here. :)

but anyways...... i love it and its really comfortable. I even feel like i have better posture when i sit in it.

I love mine. The times I have had to switch after getting it, are torture.

I have a black one but I think the vitra that Greg uses is a very relaxing one :)
