Katrina: Recession or Depression
 

It is obvious that Katrina will cost hundreds of billions of dollars in order to recover plus it is quite likely New Orleans will cease to be a city since most refugees will probably not return. 9-11 caused a recession in the U.S. Katrina could cause a depression if the senario isn't handled well.

What is scary is how inept Bush is. Does his team of power hungry kleptocrats have the will to truly help?

It won't cause a depression, really a few billion is a drop in the bucket of what Busvh has spent in Iraq, its going to be some hard times but no way a depression.
