Think the anarchy from N.O. will spread?

maybe the beginning of something bigger?

pr0 09-01-2005 06:35 AM

i sure fucking hope so

Ninja Scripts 09-01-2005 06:35 AM

No because other cities / states have working police forces. Some crime will spread everywhere they ship the ones evacuated though.

absolutely NO chance. the only reason it's happening there is because there is almost no police presence and the lack of electricity.

Could be as these people have to go to houston now and they will get desperate

MacDaddyPlaya 09-01-2005 06:37 AM

I think it will get a lot worse before it gets better. Not just in N.O. but in areas of Mississipi as well. People still have no food or water, no home, dead bodies, and the stench of death. And, the relief efforts have not been able to get to all them.

That is what i am saying...you get enough people who are disillusioned to join in on this...and you have a real bad 3 state problem.....easily it could be come much bigger unless they get a handle on it quickly.....

Texas has the most law enforcement per capita of any state in the U.S., i think they can handle it.

But i say bring on the anarchy!

Let's cut the bs people... this is a class and race issue. If the majority of the people displaced were middle class or upper middle class, the situation will be handeled about different. Bottom line, you're dealing with mostly poor whites and blacks :2 cents:

Not to get off on a tangent, but how the fuck does our president have the nerve to assess the situation by doing a fly by in Air Force One? This is the worst natural disaster in our Nation's history. He needs to get his ass on the ground somewhere close by and make this his only priority. Fuck Iraq, he has a third world area in chaos in his own country now.

pussyluver 09-01-2005 06:55 AM

Think gas lines, another Cat 5 comes along (they blame Bush) and does the same thing to Florida (this hurricane was as big as the state BTW).

Let's throw in a quake some where and a terrorist attack which leads to more government crack down. Now ya got the makings of real problems here in the states.

Gas would be $5+ a gallon. No airport service in many places cause of the lack of fuel. China sees our problems and decides ahhhh good time to attack Taiwan.

What good does his ass really do on the ground. He'd be in the way anyway. He'll get in there next week and feel the pain + hug some kids and have a photo op or two.

Yea, it's obvious this isn't his priority. Yesterday, on CNN I believe they said, the President flew over the area for 30minutes, lol. I started a thread a few days ago about how Bush was non existent and a well supposdly well respected person in this biz disagreed and gave me shit about it. I've lost alot of respect for some people in this biz.

2 russian missle destroyers & now an aircraft carrier

meanwhile china's buying scrap metal from every country on earth

plus their bid with south america for oil & their planned take over of a U.S. oil company

if that doesn't raise some red "nazi" flags in peoples minds, then i don't know what will.......their on the march, have no doubt about it

they are a manufacturing giant, which can easily be converted into munition factories & tank factories & airplane hangers

Goes to show what happens when one city turns into 3rd world status. We're just as crazy as the wild ass Arabs. We just have a society pre-molded for us that guarantees well being for the average American. When things like police force & electricity are lost it shows how much values we really have behind all the sugar coating.

Fletch XXX 09-01-2005 07:15 AM

People should substitute the word "chaos" for "anarchy" - considering the use of the word anarchy for chaos shows that you actually believe without a government the people cannot rule themselves, which is what an "Anarchy" is.

Because in fact, anarchy represents a "union of order without government."

The word anarchy being used to describe chaos breeds ignorance to the anarchy movement.

Something New Orleans obviously isn't capable of. They're all codependent on how the government runs shit.

Bush is DIRECTLY rwesponsible for using funds to fix the 17th street levee for iraq.

Quote:

On June 8, 2004, Walter Maestri, emergency management chief for Jefferson Parish, Louisiana; told the Times-Picayune: "It appears that the money has been moved in the president's budget to handle homeland security and the war in Iraq, and I suppose that's the price we pay. Nobody locally is happy that the levees can't be finished, and we are doing everything we can to make the case that this is a security issue for us."
Quote:

One project that a contractor had been racing to finish this summer: a bridge and levee job right at the 17th Street Canal, site of the main breach on Monday.
Money that has been used for decdes to fix levees is now being used for Iraq.

And its been in the papers for over 2 years.

Quote:

after 2003, the flow of federal dollars toward SELA dropped to a trickle. The Corps never tried to hide the fact that the spending pressures of the war in Iraq, as well as homeland security -- coming at the same time as federal tax cuts -- was the reason for the strain. At least nine articles in the Times-Picayune from 2004 and 2005 specifically cite the cost of Iraq as a reason for the lack of hurricane- and flood-control dollars.
its all spelled out very clearly there.

Do you know how much work it takes to get a President somewhere? If he did show up at ground zero you'd be asking why they aren't trying to save people instead.
