And this in no way matches what they are dealing with down south.

Back in 2001 I lived downtown Fort Worth, Texas and my apartment building took a direct hit by an F3 Tornado and I was home.

The damage that Fort Worth took was miniscule compared to this, however it still took 3 months before I was able to move back in.

I have heard numbers tossed around by government officials that people would be back in within a month. There is no fucking way.

They won't speak the truth because it would cause so much panic nationwide. It will be years before the area is even close to resembling a city. Unbelievable stuff we are dealing with and many I talk to have no idea of the scope of what is going on.

I totally agree because of mold alone %90 of what is standing will have to be leveled it's going to take many years for things to get back to normal

And New Orleans is a major port city. So much passes through the area it will be a problem nearly nationwide if they can't get some functionality back soon. Also the city is losing so much tax revenues it will be devestating for longer than I care to think. :disgust
