Sadly 2 of the most common search terms I've parsed from my logs (several million hits) are pthc and hussyfan (which are bad things if you don't know what they mean). Now this probably isn't a small group of people searching really really fast, it means there's a considerable percentage of people looking for this stuff.

where are ya seeing these keywords for P2P?

A few of the programs had it as a feature years ago. DOn't remember which ones though. It gets kind of boring to watch after a couple minutes.

Limewire lets you watch all searches coming through your client in realtime (really only matters if you're running in SuperPeer mode).

Other clients will write them out to a log file if you turn on that option.

If we could get around the whole privacy rights acts I could think up a real nice way to catch suspected pedo's using some simple data mining.

Put a bunch of fake files with pedo keyword filenames up on P2P networks with DRM attached. When the user tries playing the file (since it hits your server), log the the IP address.

Take the IP address list to the Internet providers just like the RIAA and grab the names/addresses of the people. Cross reference that list with any fbi database of suspected pedo's and voila, insta kiddie porn on the computer list. Then start raiding away.

Be a better use of Comcast Cable subpeonas then grabbing 11 year old girls downloading Britney songs.
