Pics of my new condo...

Moved in about 1 month ago... Bedrooms aren't decorated yet.
Nice place. 1200 sq. feet. New. My first place.

Living room pics with my new TV. It has rabbit ears for reception (cable should be in next week at the same time as an internet connection)

Eating area.

close-up pic of the plates on the wall. They are from Afghanistan. Pretty nice colors...
http://server2.uploadit.org/files/paraskass-plates.JPG

The display case contains some valuable objects. The blue glass vase is from Afghanistan and so is the sculpture, the tile and the grenade (land mine). The sculpture is undated but most likely over 200 years old, maybe very old. I have to get it apraised. The tile is at least 500 years old. It was looted from a temple during the war. The grenade (which we learned is a mine) is from the Afghan war with the russians.

Kitchen. I got a friend to do a backsplash (tiles on the wall) for a case of beer. Good work.

Guestroom and office (not yet furnished and no internet connection until next week)

my bedroom with just a bed. Has yet to be furnished.

First off, congrats on your new place, nothing beats having your own! It's a bit too crowded for my taste, but that doesn't mean shit.

An odd selection of stuff in the display case..A blue vase, a ram sculpture and a HUGE grenade? :1orglaugh
http://server3.uploadit.org/files/paraskass-display.JPG

Get a dryer, man...it'll be among the best things you'll ever buy, screw hanging your clothes...plus, you'll never have to iron clothes(well, most of them).
http://server2.uploadit.org/files/pa...-guestroom.JPG
I have a Whirlpool and it works like a charm. I have an electric one, but they have 'GAS DRYERS' now?? don't know what's the deal with those, check into it if you want.

Also, is it a good idea to put your office in the guestroom?
Not too convenient if you happen to have a guest.

Good luck with your place.

naugthygUrL 09-01-2005 04:34 AM

Not gonna believe me I guess but my uncle invented the gas dryer. He sold the patent and some pay per sell to Philips in the 30s every one laughed their asses off, he got like a few 100 for it. Not that much even then. Like 70 yrs later they produce them. Miele has one. Philips as well. Never seen one irl yet and their not cheap. Hes gone long ago already but his family starts getting nice cash from it.

Whirlpool is basically Philips so that explains it.

It has some advantages I guess, cause regular ones are hell and back on your electricity bill. I think its never gonna be that big but hey you never know.
