People bashing the cops in New Orleans
 

Remember, most of the cops live in NO. They just lost their houses, everything they own, and they are still on the streets, trying to help and protect people and property.

They can't stop and worry about their families and friends. They can't worry about where they'll live tomorrow.

They have a shitty job under the best of circumstances, and to keep going under these conditions is damn near heroic.

then they should get cops that DONT live (or used to..) in NO to bring some kind of order to whatever is left of that city.

I'd be getting my share of the loot as well if I lost everything..

On top of that they dont make shit in the way of pay in that town. I think that start at like 18k

I can't understand why anyone would wan't to be a cop..although I thank god for the one's that do join.

Thank you. I know a cop who is there now and I guarantee you he'd rather be with this family than trying to stem the chaos that is brewing all around him, but he's doing his job. For all the pictures of a copy carrying DVD's think about the many who are there doing their job trying to keep the peace, rescue those still stuck days later and all around salvage what is left.

Sadly, those men do not make great media coverage.......yet.

Cops deserve some respect. We wonder why they are assholes but I bet if you live in their shoes for one day you would be a bigger asshole.
