Canadian Customs strikes again.

I don't understand why Canadian Customs are such pricks. My packages are always held up there and or they simply "vanish."

The fuckers have been sitting on this package for 4 days now. It's a factory sealed digital camera. Hardly a security threat.

Canadian customs is the worst! I had a bunch of orders mailed to me from Canada when I lived in NY and they kept most of them there FOREVER.

Lots of "hot" items get shipped out of canada at way reduced prices. Their customs isn't exactly what we have. So they have a serious backlog.

cellmoresmut 08-31-2005 11:54 AM

Canada customs has a propensity to "borrow" gay DVD's....

WiredGuy 08-31-2005 11:54 AM

Eugh, shipping any type of electronics is a nightmare with customs.

I agree, I'm Canadian and I get more grief coming back home (and usually longer lines) than when I go into the U.S. ... tell me again which country is the target of terrorists?

I have a feeling this package is being shipped in, not out of.

Aaron, maybe they are afraid the camera will be disassembled, and sensitive parts used to manufacture a dirty bomb. Or maybe they are afraid the recipient will take dirty pictures and ship them out of Canada thus depriving them of one of their most valuable resources . . . the shaved Canadian beaver.

StuartD 08-31-2005 11:57 AM

Well, after trying to go through with those calendars before... and then having the US side think you're gay.... it's no big surprise :winkwink:

they make you feel like a criminal coming home :disgust

Canada customs is retarded, when I went to California in February getting through the border was a breeze, they asked me what my purpose was (to visit a friend) where was he? (California) how long would I be in the US? (a week) where did I work? (At a brewery) then I was through. On my way home however, they asked me why I had gone to the US, who I had gone to visit, what was his name, where did he live, how did I meet him, did anybody know where I had gone, etcetcetc... *rolls eyes* They gave me more questions, to get back into my own country!

That tattooed dude was scoping you out and we both know it.

If you would have just sucked him off then we would not have had as many problems that trip.

It was clearly all your fault.

Canada Customs takes care of "INCOMING' not "OUTGOING' parcels.....

Note; Use FedEx for importation. Clears in the sky in a jiffy ... I get 1000's of hardcore dvd's with no problem.
By mail, if a supplier sends me a sample, it get seized and destroyed. :2 cents:

He may have been checking me out, but he was asking you if we "did the boy boy thing" so he clearly wanted to know what your status was.

Then again, thinking about it.. if you had said yes, I may still be stuck there while you two were on your way back into the US. :Oh crap

RuthB 08-31-2005 12:06 PM

haha.. reminds me of when I went to Disneyland in Feb 2003, I'd only had my Canadian citizenship for a year and a half and hadn't left the country prior to that.

Had absolutely NO problems getting into the states (and I even had a little pot on me at the time too! :winkwink: ) but I almost got refused entry back into Canada cos they didn't have any 'record' of my citizenship! (even though I had the citizenship card as my ID in my hand at the time - their computers didn't 'confirm' it)

I ended up waiting at the airport with my husband and daughter (12 at the time) for almost 10 hours (we landed at 11:30pm so they couldn't get a hold of the people they needed to)

sucks ass

good luck getting your package Aaron!

Yes they do.

Florida was the first time EVER that I didn't get stopped by one side or the other. I hope it's a trend that continues.

tony286 08-31-2005 01:35 PM

why are you buying camera equiptment from canada? isnt it grey market?

MetroPornTour 08-31-2005 01:40 PM

All Customs Officials!!

And I literally mean ALL CUSTOMS OFFICIALS IN THE WORLD are scum sucking dirtbags.

They do nothing to protect a the security of any country. All they do is act like pricks and piss people off. Most are highschool drop outs that have been given the ability to make foriegn policy and laws.

Not to mention they get to carry a gun as if they were real cops and rip your car apart at the welds and not have to pay for it.

Dagwolf 08-31-2005 01:43 PM

I'm not too fond of Canada customs either. :-/ I've never been through the border without a major hassle.

BradM 08-31-2005 01:55 PM

I have never once had problems with the Canadian side. I usually have issues with the Yanks. But on either side if you are a clean welll dressed white person, you generally have no issues.

leedsfan 08-31-2005 01:57 PM

if someone held my package at the border i'd be shouting rape.

CherryLipsRosa 08-31-2005 02:31 PM

Canadian customs always take double the time to clear things and by the time they contact you a week has passed.

Try reading the thread firt, Tony.

Canadian Customs would not be involved if it was coming in from Canada. I sent a camera to somebody...Not the other way around.

Sin 09-01-2005 02:29 AM

It'll all become much clearer (haha anyone who has seen any of my former pics, will get the humor in -that- statement) ...when I receive the cam.. LOL

Thank you again AaronM, you're the best!

Lance69 09-01-2005 08:21 AM

Canada Customs fuckin sucks. I've lived in the States for three years and have a Government passport. Everytime I cross the border Canada Customs always asks me,
-How long I'm gonna be there (as long as I fuckin want, you fuckin twat)
-Whats my buisness in Canada (Im Canadian MF!)
-Where am I staying and all that shit, all without even checking my ID half of the time! At least going through US customs they ask the important questions, and if my ID checks out, hey surprise I'm gone.

They should unroll the red carpet for you .... Lance69 arrived ... get the marching band going ....

Do you think the US border don't ask those questions and more ....

You need to know the difference between a Tourist information center and a border Control . :2 cents:

Lance69 09-01-2005 08:42 AM

I do it 3 -5 times a month and without fail US customs asks for my ID first! What a stellar concept, Canadian Customs sometimes not at all! When I'm entering the US I can understand some questions because I'm not American, it makes sense, but for Canada customs to ask these questions without even checking to see ID at all? give me a fuckin break! I'm not asking for much just a Customs Official with a brain.
