How are YOU handling members affected by Katrina?

Since much of the population of Louisana, Alabama and Mississippi are without power or communications, they probably have little need for adult entertainment and have more important things on their minds than remember to cancel their trial memberships.

We've decided to delay the rebilling of our members in the affected areas for 90 days. Anyone who doesn't log during during the 90 days will be cancelled before we start rebilling again. I'd really hate to be billing someone who died in the flood or who needs the money to rebuild their lives.

So what are YOU doing?

crockett 08-31-2005 09:00 AM

good idea.

jimthefiend 08-31-2005 09:01 AM

lmfao you should be ashamed of yourself

Continue to bill them, they need porn to get through their misery

JD 08-31-2005 09:11 AM

ya think AOL/Comcast/Earthlink/the gym is going to stop billing? NO.

Of course they wouldn't. However that doesn't make it right.

The money we lose on this won't affect our quality of life in the slightest, and might make a difference for someone who's lost their job and their home.

We're not terminating the memberships, we're just not billing them.

That's a very honest thing to do. It's odd to see someone not trying to profit from other peoples misfortune. It's sad that other people in this thread don't realize it and are more concerned about $30 in their pocket.

Nothing at all.

But when its a blatant fucking line of bullshit, then PLENTY.

Give some money to the RC, I already have. This is a stupid fucking attempt to get attention.

Fletch XXX 08-31-2005 09:33 AM

Valor, Honor, these things cannot be measured but are always worth their weight in pride.

bravo.

If you're coming to the Montreal show, I'll show you our billing database.

If I was promoting something you might have a point. However, with a few exceptions, nobody here knows who I am or what I do. Attention gets me nothing.

So is anyone else doing anything similar?

NetRodent 08-31-2005 06:30 PM

So nobody else is going to delay/stop rebilling for members in the affected regions? Sad...

I've donated money and would be doing the same as you, if I had a billing database to maintain.
