Idea. Adopt a family program run by the Churches. RedCross and FEMA provides trasportation. the Church program finds temporary housing and then new housing and pays for most everything. Indivual family's could take people into their homes for a few months. With the thousands or churches in the country, what a plan for the religious right. Bush should be pushing this.

frankthetank 08-31-2005 09:04 AM

Fuck what a mess, good luck texans with all those criminals and looters invading your city now lol

This whole mess just shows how illprepared the government really is.

This is all being done by the seat of their pants now. No one knows what to really do and the coordiantion is becoming a total joke.

Some of my immediate family evacuated to Texas. Houston, and Dallas.

DarkFi®e 08-31-2005 09:40 AM

I was surprised as hell here in Austin, we didn't get so much as a damn cloud from that thing.

arial 08-31-2005 09:41 AM

Houston was the only logical choice, it's the only place that I know of that rivals NOLA's humidity in the summer.... :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Hey you guys should be able to handle illegal immigrants by now.. :1orglaugh

all jokes aside I saw that on CNN they are only shipping the people who were in the supper dome there. They were also talking about using a Cruise Ship to bring a bunch of them to FL.

yea but in reality how prepared can they be when an entire major city just gets shut down and evenyone only has the shirts on their backs to leave with.

Not a whole lot they can do really but roll with it.
