$1.20/Litre for gas in Toronto. Is this price gouging?
 

Prices for a litre of gas have jumped overnight by .25 cents in some parts of Toronto. I say it's price gouging as wholesale gas prices and oil prices have went up no where near as much.

What's it like in your area; Any outrageous price increases?

seeing that the whole gulf coast is out of production that is probably whats causeing it

I knew it was going up but over 25% in one night with no corresponding increase in the wholesale price seems out of line to me.

Plus, there is no shortage of refined product in the Toronto market.

$1.43/litre in Paris.

0,90-1,20 euro /litre here in Greece

It is price gouging.

Oil companies have no incentive to lower costs.

They know that we'll have to pay whatever we need to in order to drive.

The consumer is hostage to the oil industry.

i hate buying gas here in toronto...working from home might save money now..lol

If Canada wanted to - do they have enough of their own oil supply to cover just their needs? I know they export a huge amount to USA.

Lucky bastid! I was ata quarter tank & get to my football practice, the other coaches are like "so you fill up?" "I was like HELL NO 1.08 buddy waiting for it to drop back to 1.03!" (which is sad in itself gettin all hot & heavy over a frickin 1.03) They all start laughin their asses off. So then I was all ok this cant be good, they tell me about, I go after practice & put in 25$ to JUST get 20L total rippage. :disgust :mad:

So would it make sense to tell other countries to fuck off and use our own shit? I would expect alot of it is in exchange for other goods that other countries produce right?

It was 1.04$ a litre last night when I filled my car.
Today it just went up to 1.34 $ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its 1.04 here, outside of Toronto :disgust It was 95.9 last nite

minimum of $3.00/gal here in maine.. sucks but compared to sweden, stockholm is at 6.00+ usd/gal.. nice
