I just returned from Beijing and one of the things that struck me was that there is a much higher ratio of attractive women there than in the west. If you lined up 100 girls in Beijing maybe 70% would be attractive whereas here the percentage is quite a bit lower.

So the competition for the hot cool Chinese guys there is very fierce and only the hottest girls get them. And this is the same here...It is easy for even an average Asian girl to land a passable white guy. But getting the hot Chinese guy is harder.

And when I say the girls in Beijing are hot I am not kidding. The Chinese girls here are not even close.

i heard that also. But aren't there more hot chinese girls there because the pool is larger. I mean out of a billion people, there must be at least 100 million hot ones.

Nope. However, my comment was made based on the fact that I worked with a high percentage of first generation American-Koreans, and it was no secret.

While many of the girls tried to become Americanized, papa-san holds a lot of weight in their lives, and it was very obvious if you ever went to a Korean nightclub.

Koreans are very conservative when it comes to tradition, even down to holding their sleeves when pouring you a beer or giving you a portion of food.

I have been to china and as a western guy it is quite easy there to get a hot girl. Only because of the fact you are not looking like them and they love the west. That is the hottest thing there. So getting a nice girl is easy plus if you got money then it is even easier.

It is basically based on tradition in my opinion. They rather go with an ugly guy from their own culture than someone from a different culture. At least they will follow the same traditions.
