Early Van Halen(especially the first album) was the best..they had a bond together, most of them grew up together and became big together...Kind of like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Blood Sugar Sex Magic...but i digresss... THEY BOTH KICKED ASS....... Hagar definately was better in the 90's then roth would have been.. Roth is more 80's old school...When roth was in they rocked.. When Hagar joined the band they had another kickstart..They had great sucess..They both seem to be washed up now......I think they were both Unique so I won't favor either....

I listened to 5150 on cassette untill it fell apart...3 times. Sammy all the way!

I like both of these guys, but for purposes of VH I'll lean towards Roth, mostly because I was at their final tour when they played the Winnipeg arena in <u>1984</u> (also the title of their tour and album at the time). I had front row center seats, and 3 very hot 16 year old busty babes were right behind me crawling all over me to get to the stage. I loved it. Those young chicks almost raped me, but I loved it.

"Eat 'Em And Smile" was better than ANY Van Hagar album. He had a kick ass band behind them? Guitar God? Steve Vai fills in just fine for Eddy. The bass player was better than the Michael Anthony (plus he banged Savannah - so a porn connection!), and, well, OK drummers don't matter.

The Real VH is DLR no shit, but Sammy showed he had a helluva lot more rock stayin' power than DLR ever had.

Shit, Sammy was rockin' out with Montrose on songs like Bad Motor Scooter and Rock Candy in '73, years before Van Halen ever showed up on the scene.
