What type of shark do you have in a tank that size? Do you have more than one? Is the tank square? I have always wanted to get a shark but was told I would need a much larger set up.

That is cool to keep fish but the arowana alone should be in a tank larger than 134 gallons. The salt water shark should be in a 1000 gallon tank or larger.

Where did you hear Leopard sharks being endangered? I see them all the time when I go free diving. They're definitely one of the coolest sharks to have in an aquarium. Is your Piranha aquarium brackish water?

seeric 08-30-2005 03:46 PM

i saw the shark this weekend, its bad ass. i hope roger fed him :(

You should get a big old tank built into your wall. Then get a few more girlfriends so you can make them take shifts swimming in it with him 24 hours a day.

The guys at the fish store told me they couldn't get them anymore cause they would just cut the mom and pull the babys out and kill the mother.
and they are endangered now.

and yes i put salt in the fresh water to make it brackish itsa aslo a good idea to do for any fresh water tank

detoxed 08-30-2005 03:49 PM

Now is your chance to eat them before they get you

Good call on the salt in freshwater. I used to add salt to my aquariums too. A small amount is good.

LadyMischief 08-30-2005 04:03 PM

Pirhanas are amazing... I had two I got as babies, they ended up the size of dinnerplates.. and they bred too. I supplied pirhanas out west for a long time.. Hungry bastards though :)

It's illegal to own paranhas you know. WTF why not just get normal fish not ones theat may somehow get into the ecosystem and fuck things up. Aren't gators bad enough to have to worry about? At least they are FROM florida.

reynold 08-30-2005 07:01 PM

Where and how did you get that piranhas?

They sell them openly in NJ..not illegal here..

Possibly in Southern states they might be banned in petstores.

Really depends where you live and as long as your responsible and don't release them into the wild, your fine :)

sniperwolf 08-30-2005 08:38 PM

You are an idiot. Last I checked they are legal to own in over 30 states. And the only way they would be a threat to anything is if they were released into the wild which I'm sure this person is responsible and wouldn't do that.

From what I've heard piranhas are not as vicious and scary as they are made out to be in movies. Especially when kept in captivity.

reynold 08-31-2005 12:30 AM

Good luck with your Piranhas RogerV.

sexxxydesign.com 08-31-2005 12:39 AM

how much did they charge you for piranhas there? I can walk 5 blocks and fish them from the river ! but they are not babies...

You ain't fooling me Roger - that ain't no hobby...

Small time affiliates who try ripping off your program get their hands put in the piranha tank..

Those that try it on a larger scale get tossed into the shark tank!

Blue_Spade 08-31-2005 08:58 AM

Going to Roger's house is like going on a field trip . . . everytime I am over he has some new fucking miniature dinosaurs in his hidden reptile lounge or some new fishys swimming in the tanks.

A boys gotta have toys
