Oil to drop to $35 per barrel
 

American publishing executive Steve Forbes says he expects the price of oil to fall as low as $US35 a barrel within a year, blaming the current price spike largely on speculation.

it should reach about 3.25 adverage and then I think it will drop

He's probably trying to cover his shorting of oil now that the price has run away from him by pontificating like that. It is a crazy stupid call to make unless you have other motives.

I call total bullshit.

I'm not an oil expert. I'm not an expert at finance, global, national or local economics.

That said, Steve Forbes has a much better perspective on this issue than I do, probably anymore than anyone on these boards. Anyone who could make tha bold of a statement obviously has some good reason for it.

If anyone was worthy of debating this topic with Steve Forbes I'd say you're in the wrong place working in adult and definitely wasting time on GFY.

Whether I agree with the statement or not is irellevant, I don't have the data or the knowledge to debate it, I doubt most people do.

$35 is there a depression. Demand is going to continue to rise from Asia and other developing areas of the world.

This isn't a simple supply and demand issue.
