Rebuilding New Orleans - what cost is enough?
 

At what point is enough for the cost of rebuilding New Orleans?

The destruction has gotten well into the billions and much more than USA can handle at this point in addition to covering the war costs.

Even if they drain ever drop out - lock up the two dykes now that are broken the size of a football field - tear down most of the buildings that are structurely unsound - there is the risk and likelyhood that this all will happen again. Not too mention that there is 8 or so more hurricanes behind this one for 2005 alone... it is going to take years to rebuild and that is without another such storm.

i say fuck it and let the ocean eat that town, its been waiting to happen for years.
