I haven't done anything active aside from ride my SeaDoo in months.

Tonight I have my first Brazilian Jujitsu class. I'm sure (and I hope) that I'll be hurting tomorrow.

Heh yeah it's pretty sad.. I am only able to bench about 100lbs right now.. bit I did 3 sets of 10 so I don't feel super upset about it.. but my arms are like rubber today, I feel like I'm gonna drive off the road from not turning fast enough.. lol

I also used that ab crunch machine.. my stomach feels like it's on fire, which is good.. cuz I can stand to lose about an inch off my stomach..

Joesho 08-30-2005 10:49 AM

Good shit Media, glad to hear it . fitness is very important

Been working out a lot in the last 2 months ... pretty much everyday. Gained lot of mass and lost a bit of fat

Tera 08-30-2005 11:02 AM

I started seeing a personal trainer last week, he worked me so hard, the next day I couldn't cough, sneeze or move! My abs felt like they were so bruised! Finally this week (I just saw him again today) I am feeling good and strong. Of course only until next week when he changes my work out all over again!

I am glad to be back into it, I always feel much better

Media, just try not to quit in the early going, its easy to take a bunch of days off because you're sore, but the best thing to do is even when you're sore, do a little light lifting and it will ease the soreness a bit and you can get on a consistent schedule of lifting as opposed to a spotty one like most people.

WiredGuy 08-30-2005 11:49 AM

I've been working out my biceps, tripceps and chest the last 2 months and starting to hit a plateau, just increasing by a little nudge is absolutely killing me.

Try your stomach. Most lower back pain is caused by muscle imbalance. I suffer the same fate. Crunches have been helping alot!

This was important for me when I was lifting the last time... Even though I was sore I went back and lifter more on an off day to stretch the muscle back out a little bit.. Helped out a lot..

build your lower back muscles, since i suppose you work a lot sitting.....it will make a big difference, most guys don't work on their lower back muscles.

Try switching up your routine. Learn some new exercises/use different machines/etc and such and you'll definately see more gains.

That's a good idea, I'll have to try that.
