I FIXED IT! Thanks to you techies that helped!
 

I just wanted to let all of you that tried to help me with my network issues over the weekend know how much I do appreciate your help. Not one of you told me to go fuck myself and not one came at me with snide shit, that's amazing on this board, and for that I thank you like you can't believe, I was in such a bad state, missing deadlines and not being able to get my work done REALLY stresses me out.

Well I was down ALL damn weekend, got nothing much done, lost a LOT of data, and so on, but it could have been worse.

Turns out, my router and my cable modem were both hit by lightning but it didn't burn up the whole thing on either, just certain sectors of each one. The modem wasn't communicating with my router and my computers weren't communicating with my router........... but the strange part we did find out yesterday was that the wireless pcs I had on my network WERE working, so this was a bit of an odd twist to what was already a very strange thing.

What I did was go up and get a new modem, brought that home and it immediately started communicating with everything..... BUT still wouldn't connect thru the router. Everything plugged into the router was out, but wireless shit was all working.

So the modem has been replaced, the router is being replaced and my computer is FINE!!!!

Thanks again for all of your help, it was much appreciated ....... AND I made a new friend from the deal. serversyko (sp?), you were amazing to me and very patient on ICQ, and alot of fun in a bad situation, to you I owe a MAJOR thank you. :thumbsup
