Martial Law - a reality in the future of the USA
 

This isn't some crazy conspiracy theorist talking about shape-shifting lizards taking over the world. This is a report from the Washington Post about the Department of Defense's plans of how to respond to different types of terrorist attacks. Some of the worst case scenarios involve dispatching ground troops on our own soil to keep order among the populace. To be fair, something like this may need to happen in a huge disaster or a series of them, but what does that mean for American citizens? I'll let you read the article.

I doubt if employing military power on it's own soil would bear good fruits. It will only lead to more insurgencies and other peace and order problems.
