it can happen - black on white race war over clean water - think about it - no power, unbearable humidity without a/c, compromised water and sewage mixed with petrolium and chemicals, people stressed out and homeless living together in a footbal stadium sleeping in seats, no hope for change for days, weeks, months, this could be devastating.

i chose race war because it doesnt get much deeper south than new orleans - but maybe race war is too harsh - lets just say war - is that better?

That will not happen. US aint too weak for its state to turn into hell by just a hurricane..

FEMA and the Red Cross comes in with fresh water, food, housing, etc.

as someone FROM New Orleans, LIVING in Los Angeles - there is as much racism here in LA as the south.

Last time I was in New Orleans I drove through some of the ghettos... some of the nastiest places I have ever seen in the US. Houses burnt down years ago gutted out, people everywhere with nothing to do. It was pretty bad. I imagine those people are waiting for a reason to riot...lol

poor whites and blacks fighting may happen(doubt it they'll saving the as whopping for bush), i'm sure all the rich have been recused or left early....i wouldv'e paid to see bush/condi walking in the superdome...what a photo op, you see he stayed on the outskirts

What would likely happen is a struggle for survival and under those circumstances people only care about themselves and their own families. They could care less about the race of other people in an every man for himself situation. A black/white man will attack another black/white man for food and water when he feels he needs it to live or for his family to survive.
