Found this online in a 2 second search. "....Natural hair is beautiful. I love how nappy it is, I love how nappy it gets when its wet, and I love how no other people in the world come close to having hair like ours. In high school, I played sports. Thinking I was grown, I decided to forgo my cornrows and press my hair. After two-three hours of sweating a day, I know I don't need to tell you guys what my hair looked like. So, I would press it just about every day after I got home from practice, which was incredibly damaging but my hair was strong enough to take it. By the time, I arrived at college, I washed my hair once a week and pressed it about once a week. I would hide myself in my room and comb out my natural hair. I would lock the door because I didn't want any of my Caucasion friends to see my hair in its natural state. I did not want to have to answer their questions (why is your hair so curly? oh my gosh, it's so curly! why does your hair do that?) and I got really tired of having to explain my existence to them (after all I never asked them why their hair was like that...). Finally, I said to myself that it was about time my Caucasian friends saw what my hair looked like and finally understood that the vast majority of Black people had hair that was naturally like mine. When they finally saw my hair, they were shocked but genuinely intrigued (although it was probably the same intrigue one would have in an exotic animal). The most negative reaction I got came from an African-American friend (who had been permed most her life) who told me that my wet hair looked horrible and that I needed to hurry up and fix that. It was at that point I realized that we (Black people) do not play a small part in perpetuating this nonsense about our hair being ugly. It wasn't my white friends who had a problem with my natural hair, but my black ones....." |
Lol @ This Thread ...........

You see, they usually have hundreds of dollars of treatments in their hair that come out when it gets wet. It also goes to it's natural state which is an afro. I didn't know it needed explanation as it's not some big ass secret. :rainfro :rainfro :rainfro :rainfro |
put all the poor of new orleans in a big bowl in the middle of a flood, they don't if it can hold all the people, dont know if it'll survive, don't know how bad it will be.. . . sounds kinda like a conspiracy theory already starting

here is a MD speaking
what he says IS true, black swimmers are always slower than causcasian ones and this has to do with the bone density in their head: black skulls weigh more than white skulls, so they have to do more effort in keeping their head up in swimming competition, resulting in a lower speed. This fact is being used in the identification of human remains to determine if it was a white or black person (including the pronation of teeth,..) anymore questions: i will be happy to answer them |

and i must point out that in USMC boot camp, the 6 brothaz in our platoon, all 6 of them failed the swim course and were dropped back into training for a couple of weeks due to it.... that's not racist, just stating a statistical fact i witnessed.

When I was in Navy bootcamp, there were obviously a small percentage of black people there...But I swear that 97% of all of the people who were in "remedial" swimming, a class that you had to pass before you could finish, were black. I was shocked. The biggest part was that black folks aren't going to jump off of that high ass tower into the pool. They had that to simulate having to jump off the edge of the ship.
I passed but I was one of the few black people who passed the swim test on the first try...Even then I was terrified. |

BVF I don't see any black people when I go at the beach ... Maybe 1-2 once in a while ... I don't know where you are, but here, they don't like water much.
|
What you said about them not swimming and drowning, and the wet hair may be true, but it makes you look like a total ass for pointing it out.
|
They are not morons because of the comments they are morons because they think somehow it is genetic and not socio-economical. lol
Black people are not afraid of water, there just is not a lot of availability in the hood. It's not like during the summer months everyone take a trip out to the beach house ya know. THINK! Honestly I know a lot more chicken eating, watermellon seed spitting white people (alah, your once beloved Brittney Spears) than blacks. Black WOMEN do not like to get their hair wet, it has very little to do with product and more to do with styles which take time and work to get made and that fall flat when wet. Black men don't give a shit unless they are gay and have their hair pressed. Anyway carry on, look forward to perhaps seeing some of you at conventions, not to start any shit, on the contrary, I look forward to seeing just how little you will say in my presence ;) |
They can't float either?
