I know it's strange i've never seen a storm where they didn't have the reporters there.

Babagirls 08-28-2005 08:16 PM

What reporter in his right mind would get in the way of a category "5" hurricane... and besides that its all evacuated... nobody aloud in...

tony286 08-28-2005 08:19 PM

Just a little windy now..

sicone 08-28-2005 08:21 PM

maybe you should stand out in it and tell us about it

Elli 08-28-2005 08:23 PM

Check out the 'reporter's blog' on CNN. He's talking about all the reporters changing hotels and stuff.

blackfeet 08-28-2005 08:27 PM

coverage begins first thing in the morning when it hits.

knought 08-28-2005 08:29 PM

Maybe you should do the reporting? :winkwink:

mardigras 08-28-2005 09:14 PM

Because satellite trucks and reporters don't work so well under 12-25 feet of water?

frankthetank 08-28-2005 09:17 PM

Is it really going to be as bad as the news reporters are making it out to be, that New orleans will be flooding in up to 28 feet of water and that the whole city could be wiped off the map completely?

brizzad 08-28-2005 09:25 PM

mandatory evacuation from new orleans + mandatory 6pm curfew for those too poor to leave = no live coverage from NO

45 minutes west of NO half the channels are nothing but coverage from surrounding areas

Yes, it's going to be horrible.. there's already power outtages, downed trees, and injuries, and the storm is still 6 hours away.

edit: tornados too!

If the storm continues it's path and there is the storm surge they think is going to happen, yes it's really going to be as bad as the news reporters are making it out to be :helpme
